In 2006, the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and the State Department said that prices of cocaine in America had risen, making the case that this demonstrated the success of the strategy to eradicate cocaine in Columbia in. The ONDCP said in its 2006 National Drug Control Strategy that “Overseas counterdrug efforts have slowly constricted the pipeline that brings cocaine to the United States”.[1]
