Scott Armstrong, spokesperson for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority, said in December of 2009 in response to the Christmas Day terror attempt: “They are not naked images. It’s more like a ghost-like outline.”[1] Body scans are not, therefore, akin to a “virtual strip-search” or a “peep show” as critics have claimed.
