Issue Report: Release of Osama bin Laden death photos

Support

In 2009, photos of the bloodied corpses of Saddam Hussein’s sons, Uday and Qusay, were made public after a U.S. raid on a house in Mosul, Iraq. U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the Iraqi people “deserve that confirmation.”[1]

Mike Riggs wrote on his Twitter account: “I can’t be the only person who both believes that OBL is dead and that U.S. citizens deserve to see a photo for which they paid $1 trillion.”[2]
